Vintage Reissner Pewter Water Pitcher
Vintage Reissner Pewter Water Pitcher
A handsome vintage pewter pitcher by Reissner, marked No. 290 on the base. Its tall, elegant silhouette features a softly rounded body, flared pouring lip, pedestal foot, and beautifully curved handle.
The pewter has developed a mellow silvery-gray patina with the subtle surface variation expected from years of use. Substantial enough to stand beautifully on its own, it also makes a striking vessel for branches, dried flowers, or a loose arrangement of garden stems.
A versatile decorative piece for a dining table, mantel, kitchen, or collected display. Mid-20th century.
