Vintage English Ironstone Johnson Brothers Pitcher

A beautifully simple antique English pitcher by Johnson Brothers, Staffordshire, England. Made in the company’s Royal Semi-Porcelain ware, this substantial 12-inch pitcher has a softly rounded body, graceful flared spout, and an unusually sculptural handle with subtle molded detailing.

Dating to the early 20th century, its clean white glaze and generous proportions make it as useful decoratively today as it would have been more than a century ago. Wonderful filled with branches or garden flowers, holding wooden spoons on a kitchen counter, or simply displayed on a shelf or tabletop among other collected whiteware.

Marked on the underside “Royal Semi-Porcelain Ware, Johnson Bros., England.”
