Nineteen years ago I began taking a basic painting class at a local community college after my daughter started kindergarten. I had always wanted to learn how to create fine art. Ever since I was little, I knew I was an artist. Ballet was the tool that allowed me to express my feelings and emotions through movements with music. Now the canvas is my stage. I pick up my brushes and let myself go. Any subject can be a reference of what my artistic eyes interpret, where the interpretation is something only I can create. How fun and exciting it is. I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love to do. Thanks to my very supportive husband and daughter, I'm on a journey of self-discovery.
Since my painting endeavor took off, I've taken many painting, drawing classes and workshops from various teachers. Some of them taught me fundamental basic techniques while others taught me how to transfer my love of colors and energy onto the canvas. I feel happy and content when making art and I hope that the art I make can provide happiness and joy to others as well.
