Strata House - Chromatic Dwellings No. 11.
A compact architectural study built from layered bands of saturated color, Strata House feels at once geological and painterly. Horizontal sections of vivid chromatic surface are interrupted by areas of quiet restraint, creating a rhythm between energy and stillness.
The pale plinth and simplified roofline allow the richly painted surfaces to become the focal point, while the reverse reveals deeper tonal contrasts and sculptural layering. Though minimal in form, the piece carries remarkable visual complexity.
Part sculpture, part painting, and part architectural object, each work in Stanton Sears’ Chromatic Dwellings series is individually constructed and painted by hand.
