Denise Letendre

Collection: Denise Letendre

Denise Letendre is a Vermont-based photographer whose work captures the quiet beauty of rural life through a nostalgic, light-driven lens. Originally from Connecticut, she holds a BFA in painting and illustration from the University of Hartford, and brings a painter’s sensibility to her photographic practice.

Drawn to back roads, old barns, and timeworn architecture, Letendre approaches her work with a sense of curiosity and discovery—seeking out overlooked details, weathered surfaces, and the subtle ways light reveals itself across the landscape. Her imagery, often rendered in sepia and vintage tones, evokes a sense of timelessness and place.

Through her photographs, Letendre preserves fleeting moments of stillness—offering a glimpse into the poetry of the everyday. Each image feels like a quiet discovery, a visual record of exploration that invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the beauty found in simplicity.
