Collection: Chris Firger
Chris Firger is a Massachusetts-based landscape painter whose work captures fleeting moments of light, atmosphere, and place with a distinctly contemporary sensibility. A graduate of McGill University, Firger is an artist member of both the Copley Society of Art and the Newburyport Art Association, and has exhibited widely throughout New England and beyond.
His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including recurring shows with Alden Gallery and Nahcotta, and is held in private collections across the United States and internationally.
Firger’s paintings distill the landscape to its essential elements—color, light, and composition—creating scenes that feel both familiar and quietly transportive. With an emphasis on mood over detail, his work invites the viewer into a moment: a passing glow, a shifting sky, a place remembered rather than precisely seen.
